Norwich day 6: British festivals

Today, we started the day by going to the English Experience Academy at 9:00 am. There, we did lots of fun activities to improve our English level and our speaking skills. For instance, we went through the streets of Norwich to discuss with the local people topics such as “British Stereotypes”. It was an amazing way to practice our speaking and our listening comprehension. We were also taught new vocabulary, idioms… One of the topics we discussed was typical British festivals. During that lesson we learned a lot about some British festivities; some of them were a bit weird, but also really interesting and original. The most shocking one was toe wrestling. It’s basically thumb wrestling, but using the toes. When we finished our lessons at 12:30 pm, we were given free time to enjoy our last afternoon in the beautiful city of Norwich.

We had time to go shopping, either to buy gifts for our friends, families and ourselves, or delicious food from the market places. We got to spend a lot of time walking, visiting things and having fun with our friends. Around 6:00 pm, we went to have dinner at some nice restaurants in the city. After that, it was time to go back to our homes with our lovely host families. It has been a really nice day in this really nice city.
